Big Bang Theory - Its a Youths' World
My attitude to movies is passive leisure compared to better things as reading, writing, drawing, cycling, visiting friends or such others. Watching TV, Movie, Football or Listening to anything – a preacher, Radio, a person on phone and all that only needs a little of my attention. Like a minute. More than that is a bore. And if you have to make me do it then I must be around you, that is how I came to know of the movie, The Big Bang through my friend, Jimbo. And we watched a few episodes, in between.
It became a habit then. An episode a night sometimes, during supper. I am a poor eater, I need a distraction so that I can eat as if I am not eating. Or like a child, being entertained to eat. Living alone is some very good privilege than being in a house – you are hardly likely to advance on your talents because you have to behave in a way to accommodate the other person(s). I would advocate for youths to live by themselves as Raj – have a pet if they can – and visit friends every other sometime.
For a year or there about I have been a fan, watching. Laughing and learning sometimes. The background was at first boring but I learnt to watch with it. Better than subscripts. The jokes came out well sometimes. And the lessons too. An Engineer as the Science tool boy. Somebody give Sheldon Cooper a huge hug.
This post and blog aims to draw from the characters portrayed in the series and how important it is to watch (have watched). Not in any way to credit one or discredit another as it is never a game of who is winning in the society but for the gain and welfare of us all.
Humanity is challenged to advance. To which direction? I will ask. As the young people get puzzled with the universe and want to make life easy so are there expected challenges. Watching the movie was a boring endeavor for I did not see work but talk talk talk. Which is true of modern societies. We are getting out of the farms, out of the fields and factories, out of the sun to indoor ‘browning’ (In African sense) where sex, empty talk and TV/Computer owns us.
Parent-child relationships are as night and day. How the next generation thinks is very different and Leonard’s mother, unlike Sheldon’s, conservative so, holds to her views. And the boy as Leonard is not a boy who can survive a deluge, survive depression, and survive unemployment or solitude. Disaster. Suicide. And you end up marrying a person you least have similar passions with – the penny in our lives.
Youths can check on each other and advice accordingly. When this is promoted a healthy friendship is built. This has come out well, despite the harsh sarcasm that only a Capricorn as the Jew could take with a pinch but went far ahead to help them not to have secrets. What are they for? When something is, is! Release it, share it. Notice when your friend or partner is not doing well and quickly come to their aid. Ask them. And as expected listen. To what they say. Not to keep quiet. No grudges. Controlled jealousy. Just pure sincere friendship. Whoever does not belong should snap out, no need to have dead weight in a group – You. This is truly scientific unlike the Mexican soaps where someone is born hating another. And that woman is expected to make the soap interesting by that character of hers – unexamined.
As children need friends to play with, youths need an age set to advance their dreams with. Young parents need each other just as the ageing deserve good company as that Emmy and Penny’s parents have. Unlike of Leonard’s mother and what became of Raj’s parents. Such mental freedom is a disaster to the body. Sheldon alone would lead a very tired mentally suffocated life where all that in his brains had no ear for. Much more not to say he was tolerated, he is the brain of the group, he is the setter of standards, he is the ideal, not the normal. The world is full on normal men and women, with average self-esteem, contended in their folly. Sheldon says, Wake Up and despite his attitude on your stupidity, he loves you anyways!’
Id also have ended there had there not been letters at the end of every episode. Sometimes an image. Sometimes nothing when Chuck Lorre is blank. Real thoughts, I must say and as many others, I paused to read. I’ll miss. The End. Signed, Kenyan Late Fan.
