Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. That, is, how a fellow soldier, often a young dead, is mourned. ...

THIS IS DISHONESTY.....


You started by snoozing the alarm early in the morning to add some minutes on the comfortable bed. The morning looked outrageous  and the new day could have waited a little longer. You did not smile that you were able to see a new morning. You did not wonder at the misery of the rising sun after you saw it set. Whether you are a believer or not, you failed to thank the force behind the new sun.

The first person to meet was not worth to be greeted. It was not necessary. Were it in your power, you could have abolished greetings along time ago. Greeting  means to say 'PRESENT' to God. God was not in your mind for all you were doing is to hurry up to class/job.

Your wardrobe has that 'loud' clothing that you decided to pick for the day. It is not because you could find it easy at the place you would long in the day but you thought how it would make you get noticed. If it does not reveal the heavy chest, then it should reveal the soft hinds. You know that the grooming is not cardinal but you had to because people should mind their business. There you stepped out in a hurry, maybe forgetting a much needed item latter in the day.

Boredom set in too early at the workplace. Therefore, all you could do was shambles in a great hurry to do away with this and that. The phone did not see the table and stuck to the hand. Everywhere you went you had your charger and plugged in as soon as you saw a socket. The best discussion you had was to talk of the past rumors and funny happenings. You were ready to exchange words and curse anyone who could term you lazy.

There came the evening and you had some more issues to attend to. Before you realizes that you had procrastinated yesterday's job, you are thinking of saving some work for tomorrow. An excuse was ready when you were asked to hand in the task.

leaving early enough aimed at saving fare and having time at home for personal matters. Was there a need to leave work to save on a few coins when the snacks could have been replaced by a better simple meal? Fortunately, there was no jam and there you sat in the house comfortably saying how busy the day was!

The day came and now it is ending.. There was no improvement! You did not touch a life. There is someone in your life that you hate, maybe at school or workplace. As you start getting dizzy for another day, you have nothing to feel happy of, but a few rational and dishonest words for your diary....
