The struggle with many a rigid Logooli cultural practices

The Logooli community is one of the deeply cultured societies – with near everything supposed to have been done as per custom – to allow another custom to follow. One example is that for a mature man (with a child or more) to be buried, there must be a house structure at home. Another is that a boy must be circumcised and nursed in father land. If maternal family decides to, the boy will have a hard time reconnecting with father people - a dent on his masculinity. There were two children who got burnt to death in a house in Nairobi. Official opening of the Library - 30/6/2018

FAMILY, we are looking forward to having our Half-Year sitting in the month of June at S-CBO Library, Wangulu.

We shall be examining whether we were able to make progress from the first AGM meeting we had in Dec 2017.

We shall also be putting our heads together for the next steps to take in the remaining half year. With that, all of us committed to the task should purpose to attend and contribute ideas and means to the course.

We will take the opportunity on that very day to officially open our LIBRARY at Wangulu for community use. We are working to ensure shelves, tables and chairs are provided come the day. That all attendants are requested to come with books (a book day). So that we can also discuss how to make the library a better place for the community.

Let us start planning to attend and provide solutions for our advancement.
