Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. Reggae Defenders on move. Pic: Charles Rankings: Facebook They mobilize quickly on the day the dead will be discharged from the mortuary. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. That, is, how a fellow soldier, often a young dead, is mourned. ...

Busali Secondary School...what happened?

Pic: Mr. Bulungu, centre. Edward on the left and Lung'afa on right at Bulungu's premise today morning. We shared much that would enable us mobilise for a community library in the area.

Govedi Muzami: And tea☕☕ at the centre๐Ÿ˜…. Good work Lung'afa.....Mr. Bulungu reminds me of Sanford and Son๐Ÿ˜Š

Majani Saniaga: This so close to my school Busali union secondary

Lung'afa: Alumnus. What happened? Busali and Kigama are mentioned in reverence by the early 80's schoolers. Then they  lagged behind...

Jane Bwonya: Thanks a lot Lung'afa for your mobilization work that yields instant results. Keep it up. Nyasaye akugasize.

Lung'afa: It is vasaniaga vene that are easy to talk to and brainstorm with.

At start of this group we may have thought we are dispersed and  dislinked. Awa, we strike the blood matchstick and lol, arms are opened.

๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Evans Idah: Neglected...school.Kigama is coming up

Majani Saniaga: are you serious

Evans Idah: Nothing seems to come from busali lately!

Lung'afa: Busali is down down down. Looks like a start up community school than a legendary one.

Evans Idah: Professional from busali, busweta, chamakanga and mululu aint giving back to the community. The area is domiciled by leading professors

Lung'afa: Very right Idiah.

- Being close to the lake does not mean water security. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

Evans Idah: Chukumazi kegona vuruhu๐Ÿคฃ

Baba Ndanyi: Someone talked about professionals giving back to the community, that is what we are going to be doing from now on, let it be our theme on matters libraries, we are going to identify suitable sites where we can locate a resource center, we can locate 20 centres for a start then spread the word especially to those in the diaspora, but let's all participate

Lung'afa: Yes. Yes. With a Library at Chamakanga we can have a foot to schools as Busali. At a start before we have a base for more members around.

Libraries is a catch. To many other opportunities and service to people.

We support this at Saniaga Speed.
