Heavy responsibilities for elder aunt among the Logooli

With Seenge Fonesi. She is the elder grand daughter of Isagi and elder daughter of Amugasya. She is often present in functions involving the family of Amugasya. Pic taken on 18/4/2024. The elder sister soon becomes the elder aunt. It is this “seenge munene” (elder aunt) tag that she is tied to many cultural responsibilities – back home. To her marital family she may appear as any other woman, but she is not so in the eyes of her people. Marriage does not steal her away as it would happen with other daughters of the old man. To her, as days go and the old man and woman of the estate are dependents, she becomes increasingly present.  Her brothers also need her for almost all traditional markings. They are marrying, she needs to welcome the new wife. They are giving birth, she needs to come to midwife or “bless” the new born. They are paying dowry she needs to lead the women delegate. There is a conflict she needs to come for a hearing.  And many others. Traditions does not expect her to

Let that soft spot display

Peter Kirima: Just my humble observation. I have been waiting for Patrick Lung'afa critics to steer the wheel. Please let's not carry the opposing spirit of our fathers. Let's move forward to correct with love and offer our genuine opinions. Patrick move yonder. Don't heed to discouragement. At the end all of us will be winners. Don't take this personal. Just my humble thought. Have good afternoon won't you.

George Gamugoyi: Nobody is against him but how to handle criticism as a leader, its where there is disconnect

George Gamugoyi: A fact that we differ in opinion doesn't render one irrelevant, or is an enemy

George Gamugoyi: There constructive and destructive critism both play crucial role is shaping us to be better those the latter should be discarded.. as it tends not to build but acts as astrengthener

Lumadi Jenyeka: Waiting too, they were all too happy to pull the young man's effort down.Let them start by steering the Saniaga Sacco launch which was slated for June.

Annette Chahale: Kwani wat happened?

Govedi Muzami: Peter Kirima no need for that worry.

We are just checking out ourselves bro and there is no bad blood at all

Things will pan out well

Peter Kirima: Way to go. That's the spirit. 🤝🏾

Govedi Muzami: 'they' means we have 2 groups here in?

That's👆🏿 not the case unless you chose to do that yourself.
We are looking forward to the 8th June meeting.

Top on the agenda will be how to get an interim steering committee in place to kick start the Saniaga SACCO.
It will be very unfair to have Lung'afa running around left right and centre. The guy will burn out. Let's have a team that will compliment his effort.
Let's look at it from that objective angle please.
You cannot do away with objective critiscism my sister. Room has to be there for agreeing to disagree at times and agree to move forward within the realm of understanding, love and forgiveness.

Peter Kirima: Glad to know you are working out something to resolve and move forward. Keep us posted. Where I disagree with you Govedi is that Lung'afa has not been thanked enough for his efforts for initiating some of the projects. Let's perpetuate a culture of appreciating those whose efforts we adore. Thank you however for bringing in checks and balances. Thanks

Annette Chahale: I would like to meet you in person one day.you are such a gentleman n I like how you articulate issues

Lung'afa: Family, we learn each time. The wrangles above are regretted. I am told I can respond to critics better. 😇.

The little bird, nza, learnt to fly without perching because men learnt to shoot without missing. I have taken the advises and Thanks.

We are all warming up for 8th of June. It should be everyone's desire to make it a success.

Saniaga is now mature to deserve a board and open up the doors to workforce arms as provided in the constitution. The chair should see to that as we approach 8th. A spread of responsibilities will not only increase Saniaga gains but also in time promote collective action to a problem or dissatisfaction.

Apart from WhatsApp, Saniaga is active on Facebook, blog and web. Catch activities/updates in all of the arenas. At least one is active at any time.

Saniaga has a lot of potential that surpasses all hurdles. Let us aim for that.

With Thanks.

Brown Indumwa: Great. ...👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽👍🏽god bless
Annette Chahale: Woow

Jane Bwonya: Eneke the bird ( Things Fall Apart, Chinua Achebe)

Lung'afa: Yes, thank you.
- Nza is that that challenged its _chi_ to a wrestle?

Baba Ndanyi: I can see we are not doing badly, always let's try to operate as family, let that soft spot display itiselefu when dealing with your kin 😁😁😃😃😎😎
