The struggle with many a rigid Logooli cultural practices

The Logooli community is one of the deeply cultured societies – with near everything supposed to have been done as per custom – to allow another custom to follow. One example is that for a mature man (with a child or more) to be buried, there must be a house structure at home. Another is that a boy must be circumcised and nursed in father land. If maternal family decides to, the boy will have a hard time reconnecting with father people - a dent on his masculinity. There were two children who got burnt to death in a house in Nairobi. The single mother had left for night work. Elders were told that one of the children was Logooli. The other, the woman had sired with someone else. The Logooli family wanted to burry their little one and long discussed the do’s and don’ts. Of a man who died childless and the grave was placed as if he had died as a man with children. It should have been dug on the sides, the grave. A real thorn should have been thrust in his buttocks, his name go...

My cows are alright

I have been follow the conversation on this page, ingine kali, please be fair to each other, allow blood to be thicker than water.

I picked on the sentiments expressed by Erick on the yoghurt project that seem stalled; somewhere on this page I had indicated that I am doing the project alone and if anyone wants to join me, they are free to do so. My place does not dry up as you may think, I have springs at two different locations on my farm, I offer grazing ground to a few neighbors, I milk two of my four dairy cows; to cut the long story short, I have 15 to 16 litres of milk every day consistently, this will increase when the other two cows calve, besides, those who graze on my land are willing to sell to me their milk so I can get 50ltrs+ when I need it.

Right now using simple technics I can make not more than 5 litres consistently every day and sell it locally, it just costs my time. If I want more then I would require equipment that I don't have.
The same supply of water from the springs I have a fish pond with 5,000 growing fish now and large size greenhouse, etc etc; I am just insisting that my place does not dry up, I have pumps to sambaza the water anywhere I want.
