Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. The calls exposed lack of awareness

Hello Family,

One important thing being discovered from the calls I have made to Saniagas is that 'we still unsure' of what the whole thing is about.

Well, even those who are active here cannot say we are for this or that. They but say 'I am saniaga!'

And Whatsap should not be an 'official' communication forum because some are members but in one way or the other they do not often use WhatsApp. That leaves us with one direct means - calling.

So that when we say of a next meeting, please attend. That you do not give suggestions to 'me' but to the larger saniaga committee. And we shall be soon saying of the next meeting date.

Most Saniagas are not sure of what is going on. And not even explaining seems to be getting them home.

That I would pause and comment, 'had you been passionate it wouldn't require one much effort to be updated and get involved.'

So I will be calling further and reaching out more. That by chance we get a circle of those who will push the wheel as more get slowly 'motivated'.
