Let us form a serious CBO.
I sometimes look among my friends to see the one whom I can
entrust in everything. A guy in that matter because too much contact with a
lady may breed another thing- I am not a stone. I find none. Each one is
chasing own goals and vanity. I wish I found a mate- like David and Jonathan. The
one whom I could loan out my possessions because I know he is a real friend. I
wish to get a twin brother. I am lonely. Does my lifestyle make me so? But that
is not the gist.
If you are a member of a serious group then you are lucky.
How many heads make a serious group? Of course it is not the people- it is
money- and how it betters their lives. How much does your group have? That is the extent of the group’s
sustainability. Somebody will speak of the vision, objectives and blablabla.
That is good. You are very much theoretical.
I desist from the tradition that groups should be guided by
one big man- the chairperson. But when members are rained-on goats, what should
you do? There are instances when things go bad in a group. I want minds that
can bear pressure, internal insults and still call for a step ahead. I want
people who will be guardians.
Today I picked forms at the Ministry of Labour, Social
Services and Gender sub-branch on requirements of a CBO. I have questions as to
what people should we include. Should friends just add up the number? Should we
reach for ‘busy’ people? Should I do what? I don’t want to sound the initiator.
Initiator to what?
The course is simple. If we could have a culture of
passionate readers, diary keepers and writers, we can create an avenue for
increased knowledge sharing hence desist from shallow rumours and pick on
sustainable information that enhances good lives. Of course readers are
industrial people! Avenues to engage in are stationeries, book stores,
mentorships on the same, and a resource centre among other related avenues. If
you ever dream greatness, I am ready to join you.
