The Kamnara of Sakwa are making ground to build for future generations

Greetings from the Kamnara of Sakwa! The Kamnara people of Sakwa on 27th December 2024 gathered at Village Park, Ajigo (near Bondo). Hosted by Kwaka Joseph, they hearkened to the consultative forum call, arriving in good numbers and early enough for a successful day. The gathering was chaired by Mr. Nying’ro James Onyango, a former (retired) assistant commissioner of Police. The introductions were excellent. Haa, the names weren't far sourced!

-: Very interesting to get ancestry upto the 1600s? Great! So, this Saniaga was born or lived then... being in the league of George Fox, the originator of the Quakers and Quaker Church? Bless him! Just my thoughts, No wonder Quakerism grew with easy in Umulogooli land! We sung tsinyimbu tsya manani in primary school and names like Kwaga - (aga Kwaga yaleka khwisero), Endegure - (chegomora iki, ligina), Adamba - (wooi yeyeha?), Mahindira cropped up in these songs. To me i thought they were Kabras or Mumia names and expressions! Kumbe ni Saniaga... Magu magu magu!!!

-: The Saniaga story is an interesting one.

Adamba has served in PAG for long. And he gave me a historical basis of the church (without the present delinquent fights). I will be following up with time.

It is recently that the Nandis rocked Nyang'ori. Stealing cattle and havoc among other funfares of the time. The white who had the land at Nyang'ori could not farm well.

And others.

May the scattered mental hints be linked. 😁
