You can earn Royalties in translating

-: Good morning Family,

Below is a second translation, a book you will find intriguing to read and reread.

I share it freely for your consumption. Permissions to continue with such works will be sought as the interest builds up. To more translations in our beloved mother-tongue.

I welcome reviews and corrections. I welcome ideas and challenges to make the process more interesting and rewarding to all of us.

With Thanks.

-: Lungafa, by the way, thank you for updates and new things. I hope this Riavukana book is not for this forum to be used as a rubber stamping. You sent Things Fall Apart. We had no knowledge you were translating a book. You again has repeated. Who is behind these translations. I would hate to be used and there are heavy penalties in publishing, writing, pirating, copying, and generally handling other peoples work and loyalties attached.

-: Sis, There's a difference between loyalties and royalties as there's one between plagiarism (reproduction -for sale and/or other purposes -of a copyrighted literary work ...and translation. Translation is actually all kosher, only that you have to work with whoever the publisher of the work in question is, who's responsibility it will be, to notify the author of the said work. It may not even be a very complicated procedure. I would advise @⁨Lung'afa⁩ to make a point of getting in touch with the publisher of Utengano (Focus publishers?) and pitch this lurogoli translation to them. I am sure they will welcome the idea, in which case it will eventually become a published and copyrighted work in his name... from whose name he will definitely earn ROYALTIES... eventually. It's a great , great initiative little bro, that I totally am in support of. For the Things fall apart one, when I saw that you're in touch with its publisher (Dr. Chakava's EAEP) , I stopped the side-baring I had started with you because I thought you had landed into the right hands. For some reason though , Dr. Chakava and EAEP has not been very supportive of Maragoli writers.

-: Thank you Erik L, so in this case, it isnt relevant nor beneficial for Saniga consumption.

-: The authors and me we shall handle. Me and them.

- You just read. And advice on language content. Its the main issue here.

Nothing is being stolen. I would wish to see more friends here gaining interest in this. Cause more translations (and originals) go come in future.

-: That may purely be your personal position. Your definition of what is beneficial to others may be different to other people's. There's something that's called kwekoyela amaarenge. I think we should all desist from that . Perhaps we could just contribute from time to time , then let the group breath. Let people hear from other people too.... otherwise we could be putting off or even intimidating people who have better things to contribute than we do.

-: 👆🏾Good guess! Thats right! When you get sued for copyrights, don't direct them on to this wall.

-: For Vasaniaga who are in the literary circles , and we are many here, this is something of great interest and benefit.
