The Kamnara of Sakwa are making ground to build for future generations

Greetings from the Kamnara of Sakwa! The Kamnara people of Sakwa on 27th December 2024 gathered at Village Park, Ajigo (near Bondo). Hosted by Kwaka Joseph, they hearkened to the consultative forum call, arriving in good numbers and early enough for a successful day. The gathering was chaired by Mr. Nying’ro James Onyango, a former (retired) assistant commissioner of Police. The introductions were excellent. The genealogies were mentioned in reverence, lengthy ones applauded. And courtesy of Enos Oyaya’s book, “Kamnara my people”, anyone who would need help had the documentation. Oyaya had launched the Kamnara book on 30th December 2022 at his home in Kamnara Mwalo, an event that gathered Vakamnara from far and wide. “What can we do that the generations to come will benefit from?” This was the clarion Mr. Kwaka Joseph called on all to fashion their minds to. Who to protect the trees at the Library?

Musimbi Wangulu: Admirable effort, Mheshimiwa's tree hasn't been protected, kindly water it, fence it and label species. It will tell the history.

Lung'afa: Someone is sleeping on job. I go make sure it is done today.

Dr Sidika: Good morning all. I think Margaret Musimbi is on the school ground and should organize the watering of the tree. We should be proactive. Kindly do initiate a Library process in your neighborhood and we shall give you group support. The group members gave minimal support but this being our initial, we felt it's a good example to the rest. Where are the group scholars? We missed you at Wangulu.Please initiate something in your locality. Sidika

Dr Sidika: Margaret Please water the planted trees. I decided to give you the books for your classes because they might not be able to go to the Library. Please look after them well. Sidika

Musimbi Wangulu: Kindly understand I might not afford the time, the library asst. Can help the community during cleaning of the library. It is easier that way. What surprises me is that I should do it because I humbly accepted to do Mheshimiwa a favour of representation. It beats logic that fencing has not been done, am not aware who fenced the other one you planted. Actions could send wrong signals. Let's respect each other in this course of life.

Those two trees are pur babies, we have to take care of them, they are historical monuments, very significant to our progression. Please inform those manning the library that the trees are part of their charge.

Dr Sidika: @⁨Musimbi Wangulu⁩, I just gave a suggestion of involving the students at the school. If it's not possible, kindly indicate so. There is no disrespect at all. After all I came up with the Library project after your visit to my parents home with the request of assistance in your work at the school. So I kindly request you to mobilize any available resource to help with the project. I have no other intentions. If you clearly don't want to be involved, say so! it's still fine with me. Sidika

Musimbi Wangulu: How long does watering two trees take surely. Let the assistants help. The school can help in any other engagements. Thanks!

Lung'afa: 😊. The trees are well. There is a lot of water at the Library that can supply the whole of Wangulu Market. No worries. 

I was at the library yesterday and called the guy who was to fence. Again. Again. Again I will call and if nothing happens I will do by self. 

@⁨Dr Sidika⁩ , you got the books for the Library. But you took them to the school. It may have been a good gesture but you cannot followup. Were they at the library you would have hands on. This is because the school is a separate institution. And in future if anything is accessed by the name of S-CBO let it come to S-CBO!
