Maragori translation of Things Fall Apart - Vindu Visarana

Lung'afa: Family, I have the Translation of _Things Fall Apart_ to Maragori ready for your reading and comments.

I do not know how to make it public through a PDF because literature is nowadays traded. And others may assume ownership with time. Which is not something we should fear. Knowledge is freely got so it should be freely given.

Therefore I will share here. And on other forums. Those interested can take up the read. And if liked, give credit. If there are corrections, they will be made. And if hard books are needed for our libraries then they shall come with time even as other books will be translated.

The mission is in archiving our pedigree knowledge, the purpose of Saniaga Organization. And translations are part of the avenues of doing it.

- With Thanks.

Fred Muhali: Wow.....that's quite some work done bro. Congratulations!
Very interesting read.

Evans Muhali: CONGRATULATIONS for a superb job.. I loved that book

Lumadi Jenyeka: Good job bro,why 'Maragori' and not 'Maragoli'?

Bensolo Ndanyi: Great

Lumadi Jenyeka: I've read it,the l and r should not apply to the name itself though especially since 'l' is the widely accepted one.

+254 784 8013XX: Congratulations keep going๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

+93 72 885 85xx: This is great! Congratulations. I see a possibility of working together on similar project from a publishers perspective

+254 714 4023xx: Hearts off for this young man! This is absolutely phenomenal!

Ubaga: Excellent work. Press on.

Lung'afa: I appreciate. It is but a trial. There are many set pieces to be done. Shakespeare works needs to be read in our tongue. In our time though. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ๐Ÿต. We can try to fumble. The future guys will edit well.

I do request we read the one I shared and offer wholesome feedback. It will help even as I share experiences and challenges of translations.

I know @⁨Luvai⁩ @⁨Baba Ndanyi⁩ and @⁨Jane Bwonya⁩ are about to give their feedback after going through... It must not be what I should expect because on my side the translation is a little radical to contemporary writing ways of our language. In any way the lessons will reign the acts.

- With Thanks

+254 722 7230xx: Good work

Govedi Muzami: ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸฟGood

Neccy Flossy: Vindu Visarana
Could it be
1. Iviindu Visaraana?
2. Iviindu Visaranaa?
L'logooli sanifu? in the context of the meaning of what is in the book coz Vindu Visarana is not and it doest mean anything. Put or pulling the vowels in the right places changes the meaning of a sentence in logooli writing...

Kenneth Jumba: vindu vyagwa yiyi ni yiiiii

Lung'afa: Senge, sande ku rirora ririo. The title is gathering attention. I have been asked to consider;-
- vindu vigwa
- vindu vigwa harovega
- vindu vioneka etc

It is fun when the mind jostles in all those.

But plainly Things Fall Apart is unfinished sentence on its own. I consulted the poem the title was borrowed from and settled on Vindu Visarana.

- Let us keep sharing.

Neccy Flossy: ๐Ÿ‘†๐ŸพYeah or [iviindu vigwiza yiyi ni yii) or iviindu vigwiza yaha naha

Lung'afa: All views are valid. We have a blog where none is unarchived. Once a reader going through shall agree with all or either of us.

Chabuga Mahelo: Vindu vya sarana

Neccy Flossy: Also "ivindu vigavurana" or "ivindu viga vuranii" or "ivindu vigwe m'mbeta"

Idia Evans: Vindu visambuluka

Neccy Flossy: Yeeeeh ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿพkari yeyo title eveye gadema. uLlogooli runifu

Baba Ndanyi: Great work Patty, I think ' Vindu Visaraani' would sound better, it's my suggestion. Let's start from there.

George Gamugoyi: What about vindu viakusambuka?

Garani Chinzi: What about vindu viakusamburukana?
