Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. That, is, how a fellow soldier, often a young dead, is mourned. ...

Apologies (or No Apologies)

Dr Sidika: Good evening all. Thank you for the minutes and to those who made it to the AGM. I kindly suggest that apologies column be added to the minutes and we should have also indicated in the Agenda a projects minute. So that each project is discussed and new ideas and new projects captured as well,

2)Developed committees for the projects. I was hoping to hear about the Yoghurt project as discussed previously and I do agree that if you merge, you will develop faster. Umoja ni nguvu!!! Sidika

Lung'afa: Hello Dr. Sidika

We included a special apology by the AOB for you because the one who carried it spoke to close the meeting.

Modern minutes however prefer not to include Apology section. It would be too much a number in our case. So many of us sent apologies.

The Saniaga Yoghurt (milk) project could not be discussed at AGM because it would first need the committee to ensure the SACCO has satisfactorily met the requirements of operation. The Yoghurt proposal (or any other enterprising idea) shall come immediately we are in operation.

And this being our OFFICIAL forum of communication, we shall be discussing all these together and on time so that we do not tarry. Not being at AGM does not mean what was not discussed is passed.

- With Thanks
