Heavy responsibilities for elder aunt among the Logooli

With Seenge Fonesi. She is the elder grand daughter of Isagi and elder daughter of Amugasya. She is often present in functions involving the family of Amugasya. Pic taken on 18/4/2024. The elder sister soon becomes the elder aunt. It is this “seenge munene” (elder aunt) tag that she is tied to many cultural responsibilities – back home. To her marital family she may appear as any other woman, but she is not so in the eyes of her people. Marriage does not steal her away as it would happen with other daughters of the old man. To her, as days go and the old man and woman of the estate are dependents, she becomes increasingly present.  Her brothers also need her for almost all traditional markings. They are marrying, she needs to welcome the new wife. They are giving birth, she needs to come to midwife or “bless” the new born. They are paying dowry she needs to lead the women delegate. There is a conflict she needs to come for a hearing.  And many others. Traditions does not expect her to

When we ask the wrong questions...

Victoria Ndanyi: I'm interested to know the collection. What kind of books are they? Are the libraries for students, academicians or for all ?

Lung'afa: It is not only places that you do not know. Acha maswali balaga

Victoria Ndanyi: I have an interest in particular books. Let those helping with stocking the library answer. My question is very objective.

If a question doesn't concern anyone kindly hold ur peace. U don't just shut down people every time.

Lung'afa: You are among the active people in speech here. What if you also showed equal commitment to CBO and SACCO? Your questions would be less a problem.

Victoria Ndanyi: I knew that's your problem. My questions don't stop anyone from contributing money.

Lung'afa: But they prevent you from being a serious member

Harold Ndanyi: This arrogance is uncalled for. As a leader you have to be tolerant, diverse in thought and understanding. The message you are sending is that this thing is all about having made monetary contributions for you to make an inquiry. Ndio davee. Imiganda nivikundi vyatangizwa na uvufuva. This backward thing has left us behind, uruhiri nokwekoyera. Let your friends assist. We know people who want to assist normally give their terms and conditions but of importance is there will be a library evorogori.

Lung'afa: Good morning. I get you. But as days go by, a year and half now, with little show of support, you become a follower! Who is ready to give audience to that?

We got to aim to be doing something...in whatever way.

Neccy Flossy: Guyz, Lungafa bites sometimes ... but he is doing a very wonderful job.. Keep it up, but Seriously, the silent listeners on this wall... I hate them (with love though). How much coxing is needed. They remove someones dignity trying to lead them. Go on Lungafa waambie wawache mkono gamu siku zanya

+254 775 6165**‬: You're right, leadership can be an uphill task especially when results are not tangible. Let's make it easy for those volunteering to lead us

Harold Ndanyi: Majority of us here will show their monitary support once they see the vision or programs running. FYI people have been in several groups za waluhyia which collapsed. As usual you all can start at once, with time people will join in it may take even 5 years. We all have different experiences. Muhonge vurahi.

Neccy Flossy: Me thinks... You better 'left'

Harold Ndanyi: Why?

Lung'afa: And wait for five years. Just in case we survive vindu collapsing!

Neccy Flossy: Until you see it running as you put it. Avaandu venyaa vutswa ivihii, nani vihya ma venya kwingira ni induuta. Leave now and many others of similar thoughts. Come back when we have set the stage for you, it will be pleasurable for you... Me thinks.

Neccy Flossy: Tumira Lungafa 100 bob at least... Ni vitabu, library... and he is there... Appreciate him that he can actually volunteer for this cause and deal such "fish-head". Si kwa ubaya, but it annoys,

Lung'afa: Or he sends two exercise books over to the library. It speaks a lot that way. And no one would think you are a follower. 😊😊

Harold Ndanyi: @⁨Lung'afa⁩ and @⁨Neccy Flossy⁩
As much as you are committed and doing a good work. Don't be too judgemental. Judging by how much someone has contributed. The vrou6has 201 participants and only 25 are on your list. Hoping you've been in various groups of various walks of life, groups have group dynamics. Hii kiburi ya ' If you haven't sent money you can't talk or inquire'
If you can't handle these small pressures how of big ones.
Kindly Table the following for me and those who don't have.
1. Objectives of this group
2. Subsidiaries
3. Minutes of the meeting.
4. Objectives of the Sacco.

You are in your inboxes planning how to throw insults. Okay. This is pun intended.

Lung'afa: πŸ˜‚. The problem seems to be rooted. Well, do you need "objectives" to be of value? Well, the sites below have them and I have often shared. Why haven't you given them a look? Of course to make us move in a circle!

Neccy Flossy: Am glad that you actually monitor. That in itself is good enough

Lung'afa: No bro. Noooo. We are only coincidentally being of one mind this morning. Neccy has been a super foe but nowadays she is a super pro! We proceed with good carriage please.

Victoria Ndanyi: Is it contributing out of sympathy?
What's appreciation?

Lung'afa: Out of responsibility.

Neccy Flossy: No sympathy, he mans the library and expectation for responses from us.. and he does. He is in charge of facebook and directs where to follow info. Go to the library, and he is there. We are never there and that is a fact

Victoria Ndanyi: People have their reasons for being silent.
When this group was formed it didn't start as a Sacco. The Sacco and CBO ideas are part of progress.
Many people were put here and scanty explanations followed later. But mainly people are referred to the blogspot.
Telling people to left bcoz they haven't given money is funny.

At the AGM on 29th DEC, money matters will be discussed face to face and we have a way forward.
O'wise this casual dismal of people here will not yield much. #myopinion.

Harold Ndanyi: Check @ *fish head*. Wisdom and exposure can help out. I will not leave this group because it has  vasakaru na avakere who we learn from daily. It's informative traditionally and contemporary. IMHO I read pride and 'self' drive. Dictatorial. I wish you well.

Neccy Flossy: My policy is "no inboxing me" for matters on walls that should be aired here. No one does. Ni hapa tuu. No one has ever inboxed from Saniaga, and i keep it that way

Lung'afa: One sure thing is that there will be no softness whatsoever. As sharp and hard the realities will be. Let us stretch our limits, challenge ourselves and maybe in the end we shall have no reservations.

- Stand your ground.

Harold Ndanyi: Hardness on contribution 🀣

Lung'afa: On keeping focussed. Aim to be a team member. Such kehenyehenye is unwelcome.

Neccy Flossy: No Saniaga, male or female from legendary, takes it lying down for sure. Vichwa vyote vigumu na vikikutana,.. then nobody quits, but better solutions are made. We have just done it! 🀩Good day.

Baba Ndanyi: @⁨Harold Ndanyi⁩
@⁨Victoria Ndanyi⁩
@⁨Lung'afa⁩
I can see my children exchanging 'fire', it simply means I am made of serious 'fireworks', 😁😁😁😁 but I want to assure you guys that as a family we are on the right track, just be active members, especially in the Sacco, put in something and own it, I can assure you we are a safe place to invest your money and energies.

Diana Aduru: Kama handshake ilihapen btwn baba na uhunye am hopeful huku pia kutafanyika handshake kati ya Patt na Vicky πŸ™πŸ½Goodnightini

Lung'afa: Good morning. Victoria aambiwe afanye kitu. Handshake ipo!

Baba Ndanyi: Free and unconditional handshake available on this blog, bei poa ya Christmas!!!
