Kick off ; Taking Minutes of Registration
Lung'afa: Who can volunteer for Treasurer? Pesa ndio hii hapa and Tshirts are needed. Someone good in Banking and such?
Martin Kidiavai: Treasury ya kujitokeza hapana. Ata ndugu yako atakupora. It must be through ballot n proper vetting.
Lung'afa: hahaha. Money would not be one man thing...bank direct. Ni kusaidiana tu in the logistics.
Karani Victor: You can be trusted
Metrine Saniaga: Let's start with online for ease access from different locations then physical should follow
Ndanyi Saniaga: I know logistics will be a major challenge, but let someone in a position to assist volunteer to assist others, which books, sources, authors, limitations, etc. Guys we need leadership here.
Lung'afa: Price List is here but is not limited to one's willingness to contribute. You can buy as per your pocket but not less than
1000/- for Normal T-shirt
1500/- for Polo, collar T-shirt.
There are two main colours at first...white and black. You will be sent where you are.
-To buy is to make the wheel roll. Say your size and get one.
Lung'afa: PAYMENT- A lipa na mpesa would be good for it would help us in accounting. But you can get it if you have a registration certificate. It goes alongside a bank account. As for now we shall use normal Mpesa pay.
Kibisu Joash: Can we enrol as members to the family? So that we get small funds for the group to crawl
Ndanyi Saniaga: I suggest we start with a membership drive say a fee of 500/=, this will act as measure of commitment, then we can move to the next thing, library, Sacco, and so on; start by electing interim official who will organise on how funds will be safeguarded and suggest a committee of experts to draft a constitution to guide us, open a bank a/c with mpesa facility so that even the T-shirts can be owned by Saniaga. Patrick please take the lead you are more resourceful.
Govedi Muzami: Totally agree. Patrick takes lead by opening an Mpesa number and we should attach a timeline on this that is for membership fee, committee of experts to draft our constitution and election of officials. Once this is done our Action Plan will be informed by our Vision and Mission as embedded in our constitution.
Govedi Muzami: We are also aware that for those of us committing on their time and logistics in this initial steps it will cost money. Kindly let us know where to support at this stage
Ndanyi Saniaga: Once we are started, the membership fee takes care of some of those logistics, but let's have interim officials in place to give us way 4ward.
Govedi Muzami: Can we have a timeline of 2 weeks to close on the membership drive starting Monday tomorrow? This is open for discussion. Then where do we send the cash. I think we should move in that order
+254 725 527339: How do you intend to come up with the interim committee
Ndanyi Saniaga: Can Patrick suggest some names for interim official, to exclude his and get names of members who can communicate easily, I suggest those who stay in localities not more than 100 km from each other, I have knocked myself out bcos I stay in the neighborhood of Eldoret, I am sure there are more members in Nairobi and nearby areas who can be chosen as interim officials, any suggestions?
Karani Victor: Paty knows atleast all here. He can tell us the move
Lung'afa: Here goes the challenge! Now I would suggest the following as interim officials.
1. @Mudengani Kisia - Mudengani Kisia
2. @Metrine Saniaga - Metrine
3. @Kibisu Joash - Kibisu Joash
.................................
As for whom to send the subscription to so as to keep us Moving, I would appoint Joash Kibisu. For interim costs, I will be meeting @Ndanyi Saniaga coming weekend to see how it goes. I was with @Antsalom yesterday and today and she would be happy to see this roll... May the appointed individuals agree to it...
Lung'afa: We need five or so members. Can the two volunteer?
+254 725 527339: Kamunara koveza nimbulizani mbichiku mkono
Kibisu Joash: Boss my proffession won't allow me to be an official of the group. I'm only available when I'm in Nairobi but most of the time i'm on site. Like next week niko eldoret doing branding.
+254 725 527339: Lung'afa kokorandi vaya kibisu utinguhi
Lung'afa: Apart from signing, all meetings will be held here. This is our 'office. We wont task one much.
Lung'afa: Hahaha. Akiri.
+254 725 527339: Well put
Diana Aduru: I am a silent follower so far I agree with everything, this is a step in the right direction,
Kibisu Joash: 500 is okay for setting logistics.l think we can start enrolling using the mpesa.
Lung'afa: Now before we get Mpesa Pay Bill, one of us got to receive the money. And the money is going to help, as Ndanyi suggested, what we shall take...library, sacco, etc. The money is subscription and a show of commitment.
Kibisu Joash: The mpesa line we use Patrick's
Lung'afa: I AM TAKING MINUTES....At the time of registration we shall have enough of everything.
