Heavy responsibilities for elder aunt among the Logooli

With Seenge Fonesi. She is the elder grand daughter of Isagi and elder daughter of Amugasya. She is often present in functions involving the family of Amugasya. Pic taken on 18/4/2024. The elder sister soon becomes the elder aunt. It is this “seenge munene” (elder aunt) tag that she is tied to many cultural responsibilities – back home. To her marital family she may appear as any other woman, but she is not so in the eyes of her people. Marriage does not steal her away as it would happen with other daughters of the old man. To her, as days go and the old man and woman of the estate are dependents, she becomes increasingly present.  Her brothers also need her for almost all traditional markings. They are marrying, she needs to welcome the new wife. They are giving birth, she needs to come to midwife or “bless” the new born. They are paying dowry she needs to lead the women delegate. Going on well save for the slowing

FAMILY, we are going on well save for the slow down in commitment which is our hope it moves up.

Anyone here who has not yet registered can still do so by sending Ksh 500 to @⁨Metrine Saniaga⁩. The registered members are already contributing in wait for the AGM to know which project to pursue.

We have continuously shared the reasons as why we need to team up for sustainable association. If you still unsure or a little in doubt, may you please call any of the following for a chat on our way forward; @⁨Ndanyi Saniaga⁩ , @⁨Metrine Saniaga⁩ , @⁨Kibisu Joash⁩ , @⁨Govedi Muzami⁩ , @⁨Fanuel Igunza⁩  and any contact that you may opt.

Because we are about to think what the AGM demands, we shall PAUSE registration to a later time from the date 31-10-2017. Reason would include to focus with the few and see how to widen up the circle. Anyone who will register past the day will be receipted yes but membership will start at a time seen best. We may consider three times a year open membership admissions - January, April and August. It is our hope that no one willing to join Saniaga CBO is left out.

PS; If any of us is willing to join but a little confined on finance, let the person say and one of us could assist there.
