Register or not, why and why not. Then?

Register so that in our AGM members may discuss issues affecting us with confidence

-: There is a big silence on registering and payment of 500/-. Personally, l think the condition came in rather too quick deducing the mare fact of being a communication Maragoli platform. I had about this block in August 2015. Bravo to the initiator, and I responded. Although it is a clan saniaga in name, all and sundry can join.... saniaga or not... and that is a good thing keep it that way. Say it loud on the blog. Whatasp is very impersonal it is set up by one person and you cannot hold that person accountable. After being in a number of groups for years (am I talking 2some one) and acting for good causes many a times .... a disappointment and money is a root of many relation breakages. On Whatsup one can exit or be removed anytime. Let this Saniaga stand for what it said it was going to do. DO NOT FORCE PEOPLE TO PAY OR REGISTER. They will do it if they want but do not remove them either coz they did not. They joined the wassap with no conditions but of course there are developments to every gathering. My understanding is there will be two groups those who have paid and those who only wants saniaga blog, let it be open but dont forget that any contribution on the blog is as good as being a member whether paid or not n those are some of the developments. If we are going to meet Dec of those who paid only, then there goes the second divisive element bcoz the original point of call is wassap. All I suggest, that do not use platform for personal gains. I am paying own airtime to interact,  I am contributing and a blog is being achieved, there are no office expenses, no transport, no staff employed. I already have an identity on this blog. Money is not the problem to wassap registered, however we need to beveryclear from the start what are we doing hoping there is no👆🏾👇🏾👈🏾🖕🏿👎🏾such finger. A few people have asked whether "are you serious" but no answers given but lots of defence and words thrown. Personally am for this cause, but will hold my registration for life member coz there is no illustration as to when to pay. That is how porous things can be and would not like to be in a situation where I beggin asking..."what has my money done or go". The silent listeners... say something and let the starter take serious notes before answering. Remember, we have been there. After saying so, please dont block me or anyone, if you do, then that is the power we fear on whatApps.

-: I dont understand you. When we register members its good for accounting. Registration money is for running of this forum ie we  have certificate due to the registered members. You have not elaborated on how you want this group to move from point A toB. Buying bundles is  not in any way helping the group.

-: As an elected interim treasurer I will say this: I haven't forced/demanded anyone to pay instead requested! The founder may lay some things clear that urging pple to pay was for our own good,to start up a library n do great things together that we may benefit together no personal benefits. So either you register or not you are welcomed in this group to participate in all activities including social without feeling out of place. Well, clearly calling for an AGM by the chairperson I didn't see where he stated it's for the registered members only! Allow me to make this clear,having met Mr Ndanyi in person his intention is to bring pple together in unity n see us grow n benefit too together that's y he requested pple to register n experience the fruits/ benefits. Having said this ,there's no coincidence in the spiritual realms so I being selected as an interim treasurer, to the doubting Thomases, rest assured that your cash is safe in my hands,am a born again Christian an accountant, an entrepreneur, a mother,wife.... The list is endless n so there's no way I can exit with your cash,I know that was the issue of the script writer here. Having been bred in kiminini there's a team of very old saniaga folks(more  than 20) whom I've seen them meet every month I used to attend with my mum they've been a mentor n  guardian to me n so much more that I'd love to see it down  to our generation n that's what I saw as the dreams of the chairman when I met him. Siasa tuweke kando pls. There's only few young characters here who need to be mentored seriously on PR. But that should not kill our dreams!

So again the AGM is open to every saniaga either registered/ not either here / not either active on this platform/ not. Let's debate n agree on a date when the majority will vote for to attend.
I wish I could write this in lulogooli I'd be better of but pardon me circumstances in my upbringing could allow,but that doesnt change my clan😉.

-: Thanks for your incite,  we realize that is the thinking of many of our members, we wouldn't want to force members into paying membership fee, but in any set up of our kind, it is imperative that one feels to belong, one should own part of what he/she passionately associates with, most of us feel good and proud to belong to the Saniaga family, much more so if the group has solid foundation, we want to celebrate with members who are celebrating and to rejoice with those rejoicing also mourn with those who may be befallen with any calamity, when you have nothing but belong to a group with something, you feel well represented. There is no conditions on who attends the AGM as long as he/she is one of us, but please a well organized group must be backed with some financial muscle, most of us can comfortably afford 500/ so please pay and belong, we are banking on our numbers and good will to make a strong start; when we suggest of strong willed members contributing 1k each for an investment in something, we are simply testing waters, we can do much more than that, but we have to start from some point. But members are assured of the safety of their contributions and any usage of such on any project will be with the approval of members through subcommittees tasked to carry out such projects.

-: Good people lets show commitment for this worthy course by at least registering. We need to start from somewhere. This platform should a socioeconomic forum....kindly register and bring out ideas....

-: The discussion above is interesting. You talking to someone every time you write. This forum will keep being that liberal. Where we can talk nicely and maybe act a little or get engaged when we feel like. It is a free world and this a free family.

However, as much as we may have this Baraza (a big family) we would need to get to work. No excuses there. Those ready are already at the farm. They also deserve better utilisation of their bundles. 🙈

So we decide. There is supposed to be a clear difference between a committed member and those who are good by themselves - dont disturb. That will prevent us from continuos asking of people to commit when they do not feel like. If one decides to commit, he/she joins the committed. And there is no boundary between. If you will register at AGM or next year, no problem. You will find us moving and maybe with a few by-laws more or less of engagement.

-: I joined a group sometime last year and started off as a social group,chats,business ideas,councilling...benevolent fund raisings...later leaders emerged from the membership and were trusted.....a cooperative society has been realised now with about 24 acres of land just outside kitengela...people are leaving,why?let's up our game,and to start off does not necessarily need any payments. let's have a few philanthropists to help out in the small issues of registration etc.find pple in need we start helping them,saniaga kids without fees,saniaga families without good shelter etc.we will bond more when we do things together first.my two cents.(thoughts)
