The struggle with many a rigid Logooli cultural practices

The Logooli community is one of the deeply cultured societies – with near everything supposed to have been done as per custom – to allow another custom to follow. One example is that for a mature man (with a child or more) to be buried, there must be a house structure at home. Another is that a boy must be circumcised and nursed in father land. If maternal family decides to, the boy will have a hard time reconnecting with father people - a dent on his masculinity. There were two children who got burnt to death in a house in Nairobi. The single mother had left for night work. Elders were told that one of the children was Logooli. The other, the woman had sired with someone else. The Logooli family wanted to burry their little one and long discussed the do’s and don’ts. Of a man who died childless and the grave was placed as if he had died as a man with children. It should have been dug on the sides, the grave. A real thorn should have been thrust in his buttocks, his name go...

Sharing Messages, how right?

-: Dr, good evening. We reduce on forwarded texts...nuyanza.

-: If we can't even share national issues that will eventually affect our lives, then I don't understand why we are a group. How then can we mentor the young Proffessionals? We should be free to share and educate each other on how we should behave at International level. I have travelled a lot. It's the respect you have for each other that will define you. If you don't discuss some of these things you will become other people's slaves. I think we should actually have Proffessional experience presentations during the December meeting and look for ways of mentoring and empowering our people to be proactive. I will not post anything but will read the posts. Thank you for your advice. Rest and rise well. Sidika

-: Hello, have I not been misunderstood?

We got to use modern technology in such away we are its master, not servant. To give it our best. This how.

If you share messages you reduce your personal desire to be original, finding fun in second grade information. I would call it social plagiarism. Copy cat.

What you get on other sites is already from somewhere. Some of the being shared messages and videos have already been seen by others. So it becomes some monotony. Monotony brings passivity.

I understand that when one receives information, it should be interpreted and this would make sharing an active thing. Not running messages. It would keep us free from junk and avoid us from recycling ideas.

So we keep talking, in first personna so we may benefit great from people like you.

- A great day awaits us.
