Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. That, is, how a fellow soldier, often a young dead, is mourned. ...

What remains for 2019?

-: Good morning Lungafa!
Please share calendar of activities for remainder of year

-: Good Morning Analo,

Friday, 26/7/19 is when we are hosting debates finals. Till Next year when we look forward to widening our scope. Another Library must have come up by then, in Saniaga faith. 😊.

August 2019 - December as a CBO we shall deeply be engaged in collecting oral genealogy data. We expect to work with Saniaga Groups in their locations to realize this. A concept note/proposal is underway and once ready all of us shall look at it and react accordingly.

Our Pawpaw/tree nursery project is still on with now an added thought of involving Saniaga Groups with Cassava farming. S-CBO is in talks with Self-Help Africa to find out if we can benefit from their seeds/extension services. And for the opportunities either in application or direct linking that Saniaga can benefit from.

The continuing SANIAGA SACCO registration and share building is our power for the near future undertakings. That whoever is not yet subscribed should do so and have us walk together in this. Equally serious mobilization should be underway.

There is where we are now.

All of them need support/active participation.

- Let us talk.

-: Thank you sir
