The struggle with many a rigid Logooli cultural practices

The Logooli community is one of the deeply cultured societies – with near everything supposed to have been done as per custom – to allow another custom to follow. One example is that for a mature man (with a child or more) to be buried, there must be a house structure at home. Another is that a boy must be circumcised and nursed in father land. If maternal family decides to, the boy will have a hard time reconnecting with father people - a dent on his masculinity. There were two children who got burnt to death in a house in Nairobi. Of Oral Genealogy Search

Hello Family, good evening. This is what I did in 2017 after slowly collecting the info from 2013. Everyone of us can have it - interlinked. So that we know where and how we connect. Importantly the CBO should have it in its bank - the wholesome Saniaga Tree. With it is a collection of stories and lessons key to our understanding of ourselves as a people.

When we know ourselves best then we can understand others well. Such an image if printed and framed well can outstand in our sitting rooms, dwarfing all present art collections and images on our walls. Some can go ahead and decorate further with printed images at the names. It should also be the interest of IT men and women in the house to design such an application that can take in the information and be easily accessed by one with such rights that it remains confidential. It is going to be an interesting activity among us as we look forward to have our history documented and preserved. - Asante
