Luanda Reggae Defenders - what is your long term agenda?

Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. The movement capitalizes on funerals. With a poor culture of putting the dead to rest, the Reggae Defenders have taken it by storm and rebranded the infamous ‘Disco Matanga’ – disco at funeral. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. That, is, how a fellow soldier, often a young dead, is mourned. ...

How hard have I tried to seek for you! It is not late, karibu nyumbani. A brother without a sister is what now? Even if the sister be so tough/ 😁🤗.

Saniaga is our pride and heritage. We source from it identity, belonging, hope, togetherness and resources worth our present and future well being. We converge here from different parts of the world as a family just as our progenitors of old did in ancient villages. We learn from one another, keep each other at home and brainstorm openly on issues pertinent to our livelihoods. 

For the two years, we have benefitted agreat from this forum as you shall find in our archives. 

May your joining be of joy. That through this group we together reconnect to our DNA and do wonders - You and Us.

Corazon is the brain behind Saide Library at Chavakali, Eregi junction. I hope Joshua Kereda, Ndanyi Joseph and Dr. Sidika will be happy to hear this. Saniaga is passionate with education and community libraries. Saide being at home with us will be good for partnership and sustainability of the whole course. Cause Saniaga is resilient.
