The struggle with many a rigid Logooli cultural practices

The Logooli community is one of the deeply cultured societies – with near everything supposed to have been done as per custom – to allow another custom to follow. One example is that for a mature man (with a child or more) to be buried, there must be a house structure at home. Another is that a boy must be circumcised and nursed in father land. If maternal family decides to, the boy will have a hard time reconnecting with father people - a dent on his masculinity. There were two children who got burnt to death in a house in Nairobi. The single mother had left for night work. Elders were told that one of the children was Logooli. The other, the woman had sired with someone else. The Logooli family wanted to burry their little one and long discussed the do’s and don’ts. Of a man who died childless and the grave was placed as if he had died as a man with children. It should have been dug on the sides, the grave. A real thorn should have been thrust in his buttocks, his name go...

Don't be harsh, this how it all started..

-: Well for those of us who joined the group kitambo we started by tracing our roots where we came from our identity n so called relatives ie  avasaniaga vaveye ivunandi, vhu kumadzi etc
Then we had the pleasure to introduce ourselves to the 10th generation.

Then we stated our mission, vision, agenda na ndio hapo mang'ana Gi zisendi gaturira, officials were selected n asked to affirm their willingness, they did!
From here to those who joined later could pls ask for clarification of anything without bombarding the wall with feelings ‍♀ pls
It is also allowed to add more ' mature' leaders or to offer mentorship aside... Nyanzi nduguduze amang'ana yaga gosi mu llogooli Ku  Kuvhe voosi on the same page but it will take me a novel.

-: Kindly go to the blog brother. It is not fair to water down a groups effort. Kindly ask before blowing it up the wall. It really discourages the effort the likes of the Chairman and the interim crew. Remember these people are volunteering their time and to some extent resources. Let's use a kind and civil language when addressing issues here. We people (saniagas) from all walks of life. Personally if I felt the group is not addressing my agenda, I would leave without threatening to do so. We are here because we want to consolidate our efforts towards a better tomorrow. Excuse me for the rant.

-: .....and if you leave, we bring you back
