Luanda Reggae Defenders is a now a popular movement with roots in Vihiga and border Siaya and Kakamega counties Attention is brought to the manner and conduct the movement has gained fame and followers, mainly the Youths. They have this huge old school sound system that is over buzzing to no clear reggae song - that they hire a pickup to carry - and it has a young DJ mainly standing there than mixing anything. Often, against the rules, the casket is grabbed from a hearse vehicle and tied to a motorbike. There it will be swayed and jerk breaked between other motorbikes on the narrow roads. Origin of Kamnara of Sakwa - Version One

-: Now I begin....'there are two versions of the origin of kamnara of sakwa. One says that originally their ancestor was from present vihiga District. The original settler 'nyamwanda', had a sister who got married in sakwa location. Nyamwanda went and lived with his in-laws in sakwa untill he married from there. Nyamwanda had two sons: yendhe and mnara. Yendhe's people are now called wagusu from the name of his son gusu. Mnara had a son called chidha who apparently took after the name of his father by which the kamnara in sakwa are now known today.' - Hezekiah kisia mwingisi...... A second version to follow later.

It is true one can follow one's sister...but those days, of strong traditions, would you have left home to follow your sister?
